Women in Translation – August 2025

At the shop, we have really struggled to narrow down our selection of brilliant women writers around the world to celebrate! And that is partly thanks to all the brilliant translators and publishers out there who are passionate about translating and bringing these works to bookshops and readers.

Laura GM has made a list with something for everyone, an array of stories from women in translation that go from Austrian wilderness dystopias, to Catalan folkloric realism, a French dinner party, an end-of-the-world predatory boarding school, generational stories from Palestine and Germany, and even a steamy Danish summer holiday character study.
