The Booker longlist is here! And this year the competition’s looking especially tough, as it features *so many* of our favourite reads…

We’ve had the absolute delight of hosting FOUR of the fantastic authors longlisted here for events this year! We kicked off the new year by welcoming Colin Barrett to Mr B’s to talk about Wild Houses, and finished up January by hosting Hisham Matar for My Friends. We then had TWO of the longlisted authors in conversation, as we heard Sarah Perry interviewed by Samantha Harvey! And we have a FIFTH author on the longlist joining us for an event, as Rachel Kushner will be coming to Bath on the 18th September to chat about Creation Lake – be sure to get your tickets quick!

We’re so delighted to see these incredible authors featured on the longlist – as well as shop faves James by Percival Everett (we’re still not over our visit from him earlier this year!), and Headshot by Rita Bullwinkel – Ed’s fave!
