Mr B's review
This book is a varied collection of essays which explores the role and draw of the river within both urban metropolitan areas as well as within rural landscapes.
I particularly enjoyed reading about the recurring power of the river to draw people and cultures together: the trade and flow of new faces and ideas. These authors look at the natural history of riverways and provide a personal reflection on the surprising ways that we share them with this modern world.
Some of the writers include northern poet Amy Key, Wainwright winner Michael Malay and Mr B’s loved authors like Caleb Azumah Nelson. – Katrina
