Refugee Tales

If one of the things that a good book can do is to give us valuable insight into the changing world around us, then these reflections of the world’s various and ever-changing refugee crises need to be top of the pile. Some show us just how fragile life in a refugee camp can be whilst others focus on the perilous journeys. A couple here fictionalise the trials of a modern refugee – with no lessening of impact. The common thread to these stories is the desperate state of the different homelands from which people are fleeing and the force of will and good fortune that is needed for survival.
