We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome author Beth Brower to Mr B’s for her first UK event celebrating the release of The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion, Volume 1.
From the author of The Books of Imirillia series (starting with The Queen’s Gambit), comes a completely unique new series – think Jane Austen by way of Bridget Jones’s Diary!
Originally published on Beth’s Substack, Emma’s adventures have taken readers completely by storm. Warm, witty, and highly opinionated, Emma’s journals detail her daily life in 1880s London, as she’s swept into the activities and goings-on of the wonderfully eccentric inhabitants of her neighbourhood, St Crispian’s. Our team have fallen head-over-heels for Emma – and if you’ve enjoyed novels by Jane Austen, Gilmore Girls, or Virginia Evans’s The Correspondent, we think you will too!
Volumes 1-8 will be published this year (and are available to purchase here!), and the series is proposed to run for a full 20! We can’t wait to welcome Beth to Bath to hear all about her wholly unique series.
