We couldn’t be more excited to welcome the wonderful Alix E. Harrow, to Bath for the release of her new book, The Slantwise Histories.
Alix E. Harrow is the author of many of our team’s favourites, including The Ten Thousand Doors of January, The Once and Future Witches and most recently, The Everlasting, which will publish in paperback this October. Now Alix returns with a fantastical collection of stories old and new: tales about tricksters and ghosts, ordinary magic and mundane spectacle, all in the tradition of Angela Carter, Anne Sexton and Carmen Maria Machado.
Alix will be in conversation with Tasha Suri, award-winning author of Empire of Sand, The Jasmine Throne, and more recently The Isle in the Silver Sea.

About the authors:
Alix E. Harrow is an ex-historian with lots of opinions and excessive library fines, currently living in Kentucky with her husband and their semi-feral children. Her short fiction has been nominated for the Hugo, Nebula and Locus awards. Her full-length novels include The Ten Thousand Doors of January, The Once and Future Witches and Starling House.
Tasha Suri is an award-winning author, a writing tutor, an occasional librarian and a cat owner. She has won the Best Newcomer (Sydney J. Bounds) Award from the British Fantasy Society, the Starburst Brave New Words Award, and has been nominated for the Astounding Award and Locus Award for Best Fantasy Novel. Her debut novel Empire of Sand was named one of the 100 best fantasy books of all time by TIME magazine. When she isn’t writing, Tasha likes to cry over TV shows, buy too many notebooks, and indulge her geeky passion for reading about South Asian history. She lives with her family in a mildly haunted house in London.
