Join us for a one of a kind event to kick off the holiday season with Natasha Hastings, author of The Miraculous Sweetmakers: The Frost Fair and The Miraculous Sweetmakers: The Sea Queen!
Our afternoon with Natasha will be brimming with fun quizzes, historical facts and a Q&A, but the best part – we’ll be finishing off the afternoon with Cookie Decorating to honour our main characters, who love inventing new and beautiful sweet treats!
About the Book:
The Great Frost of 1683 has London in its icy grip.

Natasha Hastings was selected to join The London Library’s Emerging Writers Programme in 2019. She developed The Frost Fair while studying History at Cambridge University, where she focused on gender and mental illness. She became determined, while exploring these topics, to have the lives of working women form the heartbeat of The Frost Fair, and her educational and informative events showcase her research perfectly!
The Miraculous Sweetmakers was our choice for our Torchlit Tales Society Reading Club subscription last December, and we’re so excited for the adventure to continue with The Miraculous Sweetmakers: The Sea Queen!
