Reading this book made the world feel very big and my perspective on it embarrassingly small in comparison.
The almost countless species of fungi demonstrate complex ecology and diversity that we have only scratched the (forest floor) surface of.
Entangled Life excitedly dives into what we know about the way fungi connects plant roots, the symbiotic relationships they form with animals and plants, the way that fungi can communicate as one whole organism, our human obsession and uses of mushrooms and the scientific research that pioneers new ways to understand them.
I realised that I had simplified and misunderstood the world of fungi and I can never reverse this new sense of wonder.
