Move over Vogue… welcome to our version of a glossy interview in ten nosy questions with a bookseller (with more cardigans and fewer designer shoes). This time, we are jumping into the mind of Rosa Moore…

What’s the book you’re picking most for your subscribers this month?

Technically I don’t have any subscribers just yet, but the book I’ve sold the most since being here that I would send to subs is The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller. It’s got me out of two reading slumps and it’s just the perfect romantasy because it’s so fun and bingeable.

Recommend a niche book that you wish more customers had heard of…

Not Another Love Song by Julie Sotto. It’s a rom-com I’ll always recommend. Fun, dramatic and beautifully written.

Give us the three buzz words that will make you pick up a book from the blurb

Tense. Witty. Steamy.

Which book are you most looking forward to coming out this year?

Mate by Ali Hazelwood. I’ll read anything she writes.

Current book of the year?

The Geographer’s Map to Romance by India Holton. It’s so cute and got that wonderful British humour that I love in any romance that India always perfects.

What was the last book that made you cry?

Funny Story by Emily Henry. There was a moment where a character just really made me feel seen and there’s nothing more wonderful than that.

Your favourite childhood book?

The Rose and Lily books by Holly Webb. I was obsessed with them, I even recited one of the spells at a talent show once and thought I’d actually done it…sadly not.

Which author have you just recently discovered?

Sophie Irwin. I was recommended her books in my spa and then got to see her when she visited the shop, she may be the coolest person I’ve ever met. I can’t wait to see what she does next.

Name a book that you unexpectedly enjoyed (due to genre, content, style…)

Invisible Women by Caroline Criado Prez. I don’t normally read any non-fiction but this book is one that kept me engaged and reads so well for a book that’s mostly enraging statistics.

If you weren’t a bookseller, what would you be doing?

Ideally I would be running a cat orphanage somewhere on a Greek island. One can dream.
