This small thoughtful book is an ode to the overlooked world of mosses that lies underfoot, existing at a micro level and with more complexity than we can fully understand.
I adore Robin’s considerate, thoughtful musings which blend with her entertaining research annecdotes. Her scientific research and wisdom are fascinating, however it’s her way of seeing and listening to the natural world which makes this so special. The way that mosses interact with their environment and with each other provides important lessons and each is quietly revelationary.
