As the Bath Literature Festival approaches, we are looking for enthusiastic, book-loving volunteers to help out alongside our Mr B’s booksellers at pop-up festival bookshops across the city!
The Bath Literature Festival will take place between Saturday 13th May and Sunday 21st May. We’ll be selling books at individual venues around central Bath including the Roman Baths, Komedia and our main pop-up bookshop at the Guildhall.
We are looking for volunteers to help out with book displays, to serve customers and assist with moving boxes of books to the various festival venues. No experience is necessary; you just need to love books and be happy to chat to customers! This will be a great opportunity to get a taster of life as a bookseller and to experience the festival behind the scenes, as well as a chance to watch bits of events and meet a few authors.
The volunteer shifts run throughout the festival. Ideally we are looking for volunteers who are able to do several shifts (although not necessarily on the same day). We know that there may be lots of younger book-lovers interested in helping out for the festival, so please let us know if you’re under 18, and whether you would be accompanied by an adult.
