We are delighted to introduce our new charity of the year ‘Off the Record Bath and North East Somerset (OTR)’.
So who are Off the Record?
Off the Record BaNES (OTR) exists to improve the emotional health and wellbeing of young people, with the goal that every young person in Bath and North East Somerset and beyond is emotionally healthy, confident and empowered in themselves. The charity provides a range of services that are free to all young people (aged 10-25) in BaNES, including counselling, listening support, youth participation, advocacy, support for care leavers and a LGBTQ+ focused youth group. OTR works with over 2,000 young people each year and has seen a 40% increase in referrals since the Covid pandemic, with the most frequent interventions becoming more severe, particularly regarding self-harm, suicidal thoughts and depression.
How can you support Off the Record?
In the coming weeks we will have counter top donation pots and we’ll be shouting about any fundraisers or events that the have going on, in store, online and via social media. You can also make a donation directly through there website.
The first of these events will be taking place on Friday 10th of June at Komedia. The event is free but you can add a donation to your ticket when reserving your spot. You can find out more here.
