Inclusive Books for Children 2024

We are super excited to partner with ‘Inclusive Books for Children (IBC)’  to provide an inclusive booklist that showcases the best in inclusive children’s books. As booksellers we are deeply passionate about inclusivity and feel strongly that it’s our responsibility to find the best books to reflect positive representation for all voices.

”Inclusive Books for Children is a new charity which exists to make inclusive books mainstream. At IBC, they champion  authors and illustrators of inclusive children’s books on their website, social media and through other creative media collaborations. They also run the annual IBC Awards, which recognise the best new inclusive children’s books published in the UK. As well as highlighting creatives and their work, their website helps families easily choose books for a more inclusive bookshelf. Showcasing stories that represent all types of family and don’t draw on gender stereotypes or negative tropes. Featuring books with a variety of ethnicities, positive images of disabilities and different identities, and celebrate Own-Voice authors and illustrators”
