The Holt Pre-School Fund-Raiser Christmas Book Fair

Welcome to a special virtual book fair created just for friends of Holt Pre-School. To enable you to support the pre-school, whilst also doing some socially distanced children’s book purchasing for the festive season, Mr B’s has created this tailored list of some of our favourite children’s books. Most of the titles featured have been published this year and we’ve made sure to include selections for all primary school ages; not just for the pre-schoolers themselves.

As you scroll through you’ll find first some chapter books for young readers, then some graphic novels and funny books before stacks of exciting novels for KS2 children. Towards the end of the range you’ll see we’ve added plenty of illustrated non-fiction across various interests for primary school ages as well as well as a bunch more of our favourite picture storybooks and some classic and recent board books that your pre-schoolers will love.

We will pay an amount equal to 20% of any purchase made to Holt Pre-School. To purchase, simply add any books you’d like to purchase to your basket in the usual way. You can also browse other book lists on the site and add anything else you wish of course if you’re keen for your other Christmas book shopping to also benefit the pre-school.  So we properly track payments as being for the benefit of the Pre-School please make sure you add the words “HOLT PRE-SCHOOL” in the order notes when you place the order.

When checking out you will be asked to select to have the books shipped to your home address or to collect from outside Mr B’s at out click-and-collect door (open 10am-4pm Mon-Sat during lockdown). However, if you are resident in Holt for this special Pre-School benefit book fair Nic and Juliette are also happy to offer free delivery to any Holt address. If you want to choose that option you need to opt for “collect from Mr B’s” at checkout (to avoid any charge) and then add “Home delivery to: [address] please” in the order notes. Please note we will not be able to offer any time specific deliveries but will simply endeavour to complete all orders as promptly as possible bringing completed orders back with us from the shop as we continue to work behind-the-scenes in Bath each day albeit without our shop floor for the time being!
